Elyria Early Childhood Village
Established: 2012
Elyria Early Childhood Village serves preschool age students in a safe, caring, educationally stimulating school environment. We serve students with and without disabilities in classrooms of mixed age groups. Our program is rooted in play and other developmentally appropriate teaching practices. Our learning environment provides opportunities for active exploration, guided discovery, and first hand experiences. We emphasize problem solving, good decision making, independent and creative thinking, plus opportunity for concrete, real, practical experiences. Working as a team at this primary level, the school and home can accomplish great things in the development of your child.
We are part of Elyria City Schools and operate on a typical school year calendar. Our preschool program is a half day model with morning and afternoon sessions. EECV is a tuition based preschool. Parents/Guardians can complete a screening form to see if their child may qualify for FREE tuition by qualifying for the ECE Grant. To qualify for the grant, students must be 3 years old by September 30th of the current school year, not yet Kindergarten eligible, and the family must meet certain household income guidelines. Tuition is collected monthly.
