In addition to providing high-quality education for more than 40 years, Horizon Education Centers also offers before and after-school care.   

Our Elyria- Dewhurst Center boasts a five-star rating from the State of Ohio's "Step Up To Quality" Program.  In fact, each of our centers is highly rated.

Elyria Horizon serves children 18 months to 12 years. The school age program offers before and after care. There are two full-day preschool classrooms as well as a half-day Head Start program that runs Tuesday-Friday from 9:00-12:30. Our toddler room offers care starting at age 18 months.

Our programs focus on language and literacy, social, emotional, and physical development.

Horizon staff members guide their students with state standards, assessments, and individual learning plans. We focus on kindergarten readiness and school-age enrichment. 

Hours: Monday through Friday 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
